About
I am an Assistant Researcher in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at UC Davis.
Previously I held Postdoctoral Scholar positions at UC Davis working with Dr. Lori Lubin and the C3VO team, and at UC Riverside with Dr. Gillian Wilson, where I led observations and analysis for the MAGAZ3NE survey.
I earned my Ph.D. in Physics from Texas A&M University. My dissertation work, under Professor Kim-Vy Tran, used data from the ZFOURGE survey to investigate rapidly star-forming galaxies as well as those which are in the process of stopping the formation of new stars. This involved analyzing light from large numbers of distant galaxies and performing statistical tests to better understand how galaxies grow and evolve.
I obtained a B.S. in Astrophysics from Rutgers University, where I got my feet wet doing astronomical research (in the radio regime) with Professor Andrew Baker.
More earthly interests include moving around outside, whether hiking, running, biking, or swimming, as well the occasional artistic endeavor.
